故事发生在1940年代的澳门。素心（爱新觉罗启星 饰）与父亲因家庭变故来到葡人统治下的澳门，落难的父女俩受尽了屈辱与欺凌，当记者的洪洋（方力申 饰）为人仗义、关健时刻惩强扶弱，深得素心仰慕，楚艳红（邓丽欣 饰）是素心的知已，她暗恋上了素心的最爱洪洋。正当素心以原先武艺功底在伶园中大显身手之时，却传来老父坠亡的噩耗，正恰洪洋要为粤南游击队送设备，俩人在戏院情定终生，并约好再见时间。忽一日传来洪洋牺牲消息，素心信以为真，强忍悲痛黯然离去。抗战胜利后，误传已死的洪洋重返当年相约之地，早己是物是人非。六十年后，满头华发的洪洋重返澳门参加抗战胜利记念活动，没想到奇迹出现了……
