托马斯（布鲁诺·托德契尼 Bruno Todeschini 饰）和卢克（埃里克·卡拉瓦卡 Eric Caravaca 饰）尽管身为兄弟，但在情感上却非常的疏远，原因只有一个，那就是身为哥哥的托马斯无法接受自己的弟弟是一名同性恋者的事实。不治之症的意外降临令托马斯改变了对于卢克的冷淡态度，他不仅主动的找到了卢克，还希望他能够陪伴自己走完生命的最后一程。 病痛拉近了托马斯和卢克的距离，随着两人相处时间的增加，托马斯逐渐发现了卢克身上不为人知的的一面，而面对着被病痛折磨的哥哥，卢克亦有深刻的感触。在死亡面前，一切都显得如此渺小，直到付出了巨大的代价，托马斯和卢克才明白，什么才是生命中最重要的东西。
