Osamu Koura's life has stopped after losing his young son. Due to the sense of loss he feels, he separates from his wife Keiko. Even after the shipyard where he worked went under, he hasn't found a new job. One day, his younger sister, Asako, asks him to live with her 17-year-old daughter Yuko and she leaves her with him. Asako is a single mother and Yuko has grown up without knowing the love from a father. Osamu and Yuko suddenly begin to live together.
