Alejandra and the judges meet the contestants, to who they outline the format for season 4, where each of the two competitions per week will count toward the path to the finale. Contestants will be eliminated periodically through the process, until the three finalists are announced for the final two competitions. For the first challenge, the judges want to see who the cooks are as people, and thus the cooks are given sixty minutes to prepare what they consider their signature dish. The judges get a little more specific for the second challenge where the cooks, again given sixty minutes, are to prepare a dish representative of the region of the country in which they reside.
