卢兹（亚内·勒克 Arne Lenk 饰）和瑞贝卡（卡塔琳娜·舒特勒 Katharina Schüttler 饰）相恋多年，即将携手步入婚姻的殿堂，卢兹邀请了自己的母亲杰德琳（亚德拉·纽豪塞 Adele Neuhauser 饰）参加他们的婚礼。杰德琳是一个控制狂，她一直觉得是瑞贝卡抢走了自己心爱的儿子，而对后者充满了敌意。 　　为了讨好未来的婆婆，瑞贝卡各种做小伏低，但她的曲意逢迎却总是遭到杰德琳的拆穿，她的形象也在杰德琳的内心里大打折扣。之后，杰德琳误会瑞贝卡怀孕了，因此改变了自己对待她的态度，但很快，杰德琳知道这一切不过又是一场“骗局”。杰德琳和瑞贝卡之间的矛盾让卢兹感到沉重不堪。
Plot Summary:Rebecca Büchner and Lutz Fahrenhorst have only known each other for six months, but they want to spend the rest of their lives together. And this Sunday they will say \"I do\" - at least that's what Rebecca, the happy bride, believes. Of course, Lutz's parents, who live in Spain, are also invited. And so the future daughter-in-law meets her future mother-in-law only two days before the wedding. Too early, as it turns out. For Gerlinde Fahrenhorst, it is clear from the start that her son should only have the perfect wife. And Rebecca does not fit this ideal at all, no matter how hard she tries. Whatever she tries, it goes wrong. Gerlinde is more and more convinced that she must save her son from a terrible misstep.
