Plot Summary:Aldo Piscitello, a minor government clerk, is forced in 1934 to join the Fascist party. When the war comes, he finds himself able only to talk ineffectually in secret against Mussolini, even as his own son Giovanni is sent into battle. By the end of the war, Aldo has found the courage to stand up for his beliefs, but by then it is too late.

居然没什么人看过这电影？while I consider it as a master piece. 意大利电影总是那么不经意间很戳你心口。印象最的深的就是，Mussolini被捕意大利败战后，本该一心欢喜的老父亲因失去了儿子变得怅然呆滞 “I COST A LOT MORE"...
