Finished it yesterday. The first time i've been in the English accent for such a long time. About whether the the serial is good, I think there's no need to comment with so high a score here...even it may be exagerated... Just want to write sth down.
For the characters...
first comes Mary, I don't quite like her at first, (or until now..?= = ) especially seeing her always competing with Edith, even speaking ill of her, causing Edith to lose a chance of marriage. Mary is supposed to be a calm charactor, but she seems not, Mr. Pamuk... I've nothing to say. Yes without this plot the story can't go.
Edith...i don't quite like her neither at first, maybe because I thought she was not so beautiful - - While later, Edith became my favorite cuz she turns to be the one who lacks love, which is the reason she always competes with Mary in this or that. I have to say, after the war, Edith became such a lovely girl who can take care of others well, always being kind, and letting others want to protect her. I remember a time when the abbey would not be a sanatorium any more, Edith was helping arrange the room, she said to granny that she thought it might never come the day when she would get married, and every story had to have an unmarried auntie...How sad...I felt it really is the middle child that need care most.
About Sybil, I don't know whether she is really sure about her decision, maybe she doesn't care about leaving her family, I'm wondering if the chauffeur Branson could give her a good life. Not wondering about money but the person.
And O'brien and Thomas, when they changed little by little, I feel one more time that everyone must get his or her kind side, or good side.
Anna was my favourite at first. But when i've seen too many stories among Mr.Bates, Mrs Bates and her, I got a bit tired of it...
For Daisy and William, I want to say that maybe no one can tell clearly what love is, what's the difference between a lover's love and a friend's love.(when there is no body touch- -) So maybe Daisy does love William in that way, and she just can't tell from it. And who can? there is no definition...for a kind of feeling, there won't be a definition.
About the rest, I haven't much to say. Matthew is more handsome in season 2 than 1. Lavinia is really a good girl, and good girls don't always have a good ending, cuz they would usually sacrifice themselves for the one they love. Richard Carlisle is only agreeable when finally he says goodbye and 'i loved you, more than you do..xxx'. And Granny doen't stop making me think of professor McGonagall...(in fact she acts very well.)
Oh one more thing... I suppose it is unnecessary to arrange the Lord falling in love with the maid, (what's her name? Jane?) Why... I can't see any necessity, when they two are together, I've only come to my mind the comment of some spectators: 'GouXue'...
It has been really a Long time I haven't written in English...(except the CET4...) I know I've been getting worse and worse at english = = hope there aren't too many mistakes......
